Injury Report: Week 10

14 11 2010

With the showdown with the Patriot coming up in less than 24 hours, lets have a look at injuries.

Steelers:

Max Starks: Officially had his season ended with a neck injury — originally thought to be a stinger.

Aaron Smith: Unfortunately, he will miss another game. The Steelers are probably still debating the IR for Smith, but do not want to close the door on a return in the Playoffs. If we were in worse shape — record-wise — he would already be on the IR.

Brett Keisel: He is listed as doubtful, but it is almost a certainty that he will be out of this game with a bad hamstring.

Chris Kemoeatu: Listed as doubtful with a strained knee, he will be a game time decision, I believe, as the Steelers cannot afford to prematurely count him out.

Will Allen: Allen was just downgraded to doubtful with his concussion and probably will not play.

Mewelde Moore, Isaac Redman and Heath Miller: They all participated in practice fully and should not miss any action Sunday night.

Jeff Reed: Did not practice due to an illness, but come-on… He is a Kicker, I think he will be ok.

James Harrison: Recently added to the injury report as questionable with back spasms, but that should not keep him out Sunday.

Patriots

The most notable is Tom Brady, who is probable with a dinged up shoulder, but he will play.

The players that are out for sure are Stephen Gostkowski (IR), Jared Page (Calf), Fred Taylor (toe), Stephen Neal (shoulder), and Myron Pryor (back).

James Sanders is listed on the injury report as “Did not practice”, but it is also listed as non-injury related.

Mike Write is listed as questionable¬†and should be available for Sunday’s game.
