Steelers Bring In Kickers

16 11 2010

After a  terrible start for Jeff Reed –just several months after whining for getting 2.8 million dollars –Jeff Reed is on the verge of being cut. Per ESPN, the Steelers are thinking about cutting Reed and are looking at bringing in so new legs to try out, as early as Tuesday.

Reed not only cried when he received the franchise tag, but after the game against the Pats –where he botched a 26-yard attempt– he began whining again. Reed has hit only 68% of his field goals this year and has really struggled this year and most Steeler fans have been supportive of him and understanding that he is still a good kicker. After missing a 26-yard field goal, you are bound to get booed, the fans then gave him a tongue-in-cheek cheer after making an extra point.

Jeff Reed had this to say regarding the fans “It doesn’t surprise me, If you’re not perfect in this city, man, then you’re going to hear about it. It’s been like that for nine years, and why would they stop now?”

Jeff, you are far from perfect and never have been perfect, yet we still supported you. Even after you went Bruce Lee meets Tommy Lee on a bathroom towel dispenser.

The Steelers will probably bring it Peter Czech , who has been with the Steelers before and has a pretty good leg or an older vet like Matt Stover.

Many are saying that this is a scare-tactic to get Jeff going the right direction, but I highly doubt that since Reed has already been warned about his antics. Jeff your a kicker buddy, a K-I-C-K-E-R, shut your mouth and get bet back on the bench or we will have Daniel Sepulveda beat you up…
